The Infrared Sauna (red light therapy)
Leave bathed in an ethereal sheen emanating from the inside out, as you feel the whispers of inflammation, stress, & pain melt away. For a nominal fee, go in solo or grab a friend as you both bask in the various benefits of Mystica’s delicious sauna!

The Waterfall Dipping Pool
Cascading kiss of crystal-clear waters. Feel an invigorating & reviving chill send shivers down your spine – sweet surrender to pure refreshment. A chance for rejuvenation & restoration as you take a cooling “bath”, allowing the waters to wash away any unwanted stress or worries!

The Tree-Top Healing Room 

A brand-new addition to the magical offerings at Mystica is the tree-top healing space overlooking the lush, green forest and gently flowing river. Sessions in the ‘Tree of Life’ offer

The Mystica Restaurant

Savor the magical view in a relaxed and inspired setting as we join together for nourishment. 

Meals are thoughtfully curated with organic & locally sourced ingredients inspired by the owners' Italian heritage and the influence of Costa Rican cuisine. The restaurant, with its rustic charm, offers seating both inside and outside on the veranda. After dinner, gather around the fireplace for jam sessions, chats and mindful moments.

*A $500 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required to secure your spot on the retreat. 

*Any cancellation made between your date of registration and June 15, 2025, will result in a loss of 50% of the trip price. 

*Any cancellation made between June 16, 2025-July 20, 2025 will result in a total loss of funds. 

*We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it does not meet our internal trip minimum. If we do so, your deposit will be refunded in full less any credit card processing fees. 

*We reserve the right to determine prior to the retreat, if you are not a good fit for this trip.  If we do so, your deposit will be refunded in full. For any of the add-ons, any cancellations will result in the total loss of the add-on price. Should the exchange rate vary more than 5%, price is subject to change. 

*Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. You can use our suggested Travel Guard Insurance online and choose from several policy options. Some other options are www.trawickinternational.com or www.travelinsured.com. 

*We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing items. 

*We are not responsible for airline cancelations, missed flights, or transportation issues.

*All reservations and bookings are first come first serve. 

*A VALID PASSPORT IS REQUIRED if you are leaving your home country to attend the retreat. Please make sure it is not EXPIRED or within 6 months of expiration. If so, you will have to apply for a new passport. 

*A VISA MAY BE REQUIRED depending on where you are traveling from.

*Proof of a plane return/exit ticket within 90 days is required to enter Costa Rica. 

*You must sign and return a liability waiver and retreat contract (both will be emailed to you) to secure your registration.

We believe you are a sovereign being and as such we believe you have a divine right to choose what’s best for your body. Due to the possible travel restrictions that could possibly limit your choices, retreat destination and dates are subject to change based on COVID-19 Travel Restrictions. In case of a natural disaster, COVID-related closures or surges, or any other unforeseen reasons to cancel the retreat, we reserve the right to make any changes necessary to the retreat. In this case, we’ll offer you a full refund and/or the option to book another retreat. However, we will not be responsible for any changes made to your airfare. For your peace of mind, we recommend purchasing “cancel for any reason” trip insurance in case cancellations or changes arise.

What are the COVID protocols?

• Hand sanitizers and masks will be available throughout your stay. Please follow these guidelines to prevent illness before, during, & after your stay with us:

• Refrain from large group gatherings one week prior to our retreat.

• Wear a mask on the airplane if you are traveling from afar.

• Use hand sanitizer and wash hands frequently throughout the retreat.

• Wear a mask if you desire at any time.

• Do not come to the retreat if you are experiencing a fever, sore throat, lasting headache, cough, loss of taste or smell, body aches, or any other COVID symptoms.

• Let us know right away if you start to experience any symptoms while you’re at the retreat.

• Let us know if you experience any symptoms after returning home from the retreat.

What happens if I get sick during the retreat?

If you feel sick during your time with us, we’ll help you find a place to quarantine either on or off the property.

However, please know that if you wish to leave the premises, these expenses will be your responsibility and you won’t be refunded for the retreat. Of course, we hope this doesn’t happen!

Yes! Our retreat will be located in Tilaran, Guanacaste – the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica, right on Lake Arenal.

The trip to Mystica from LIR airport is 1.5 hours. Ground transportation (shuttle van) to and from the airport to the retreat lodging location will be provided on the first and last day of the retreat AT DESIGNATED TIMES ONLY!

We will also arrange a shuttle to and from all adventures. The cost of transportation to and from the airport as well as all of your excursions is included in your final retreat price.

*A shuttle will be provided to pick-up and drop-off the group at International Airport- Liberia/Guanacaste Airport in Costa Rica (LIR)

*It's highly recommended to stay over night before the retreat (July 19) to avoid any travel delays and possibly stay overnight at the end of the retreat (July 26) to avoid any travel delays (if your time allows for this).

*If you are NOT choosing to stay over the night before the retreat, we ask that your flight on July 20 arrives no later than 1pm local time (Central Standard Time- CST).

*Please book your return flight on July 26 no earlier than 2pm to allow for transportation delays, etc. on the way to the airport. 

*Proof of a plane return/exit ticket within 90 days is required to enter the country.

*Upon sign up, we will be in touch for your flight information to organize a shuttle for all retreaters.

*A shuttle meeting spot at the airport will be chosen as we get closer to the retreat date. 

*If you arrive too late and miss the shuttle, you will be responsible for arranging and paying for your transportation costs from the airport to the retreat center. 

** You will be added to a private FB retreat group where you can meet other attendees and possibly coordinate flying with someone else, etc. 

This is a highly-active retreat as we’ll be moving daily! Each session was created to give you an eco-contemplative experience which requires physical activities like nature hikes, excursions, yoga, embodiment, dancing, and walking around the premises to get you in touch with your sentient self!

However, please let us know if you have any physical restrictions and we’ll do our best to accommodate or modify as needed. We are right in the heart of the jungle – not your typical home – so please remember to keep an open mind, adventurous spirit, and an attitude of gratitude throughout our time together! This will make a more pleasant experience for all of us😊

Don’t worry! You will know everyone before you get to Costa Rica!! We understand that this may be a whole new experience and it can be a bit scary to travel or stay with complete strangers.

That’s why you’ll be placed in our special WhatsApp group and private Facebook group before our trip! Additionally, there will be a pre-retreat call so we can all connect, forge initial connections, and express desires and inspirations for our upcoming journey!

We are capping it at 18 participants plus the facilitators. A number fit for an intimate retreat😊

TRAVEL INSURANCE?

We highly recommend you buy travel insurance for reimbursements on any travel interruptions, as well as emergency medical expenses, as per the insurance policy. Please note that participants will be directly responsible for any claims to be made directly with the insurance company. Our retreats are non-refundable after a certain point, so please protect yourself. Once booked, we will be happy to refer you to our preferred travel agency for help securing your insurance.

PASSPORT?

You’ll need a valid passport to enter Costa Rica. Please ensure your passport doesn’t expire within 6 months of your travel date. If it does, we suggest you renew it, or you could be prohibited from traveling.

Yes. You will both need to register and pay separately for the retreat. If you would like to be in the same room, please be sure to purchase the same kind of accommodation.

For your stay, you’ll have a variety of room types with various bed accommodations. This a great trip to bring your friend. If you’d like assistance in arranging a roommate, please reach out and we will send you a form to fill out so we can match you with the best roomie for your stay! If you are traveling solo, choose the single occupancy on the checkout page.

Mystica Lodge is unique in that it was started by Italians. With that, comes lots of options for savoring an Italian-Costa Rican cuisine! You can expect 3 yummy, nutritious, and organic meals each day, plus a welcome dinner and closing brunch.

We will also provide some nutritious snack platters, organic coffee, tea, and spring water from the land. We want you to feel nourished and cared for.

Upon registration, you will receive a form to let us know about any food/dietary restrictions and whether you need gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian options or not.

‍YES! We offer payment plans! Payment plans for up to 3 months if you pay your deposit by May 1, 2025. You can pay your automated payment plan via bank transfer or credit card with a 3% processing fee.

Do you offer scholarships? Unfortunately, not at this time. If you are having trouble paying for your trip, please contact us for financial assistance.

*If you choose to have an alcoholic beverage on your own time, please do so in moderation. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

*Absolutely, no drugs are permitted including plant medicine.

*If any behavior threatens the safety, well-being, or emotional security of any participant, we reserve the right to remove a participant from the retreat without a refund if their behavior disrupts the group dynamic.

Currency: Costa Rica accepts USD, but it is advisable to take out the local currency- Colones. You can stop at an atm to do this while on the shuttle ride to the retreat cener.

Bank: Notify your bank and credit card companies of your dates of travel, ask if they have any limits on the amount of money you can withdraw when out of the country.

Phone: Contact your wireless provider to discuss international rates and the possibility of setting up an international plan. If you have an unlocked cell phone, you can easily buy a SIM CARD so that you can use your phone while it is off of Wi-Fi.
